Welcome To The Site!
Welcome to the official website of Durham University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Association (LGBTa).
On this site you'll find more information than you can shake a particularly large stick at about the LGBTa, and about being a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or questioning student at Durham University. There's also lots about being an LGBT individual in general, so even if you're not at Durham, not a student or maybe not even LGBT, there should be something here of interest! Enjoy!
Welfare over the Vacation
Drop in hours are suspended during the Summer Vacation and will recommence at the start of next term. In the meantime, any issues should be addressed to the DSU Welfare Officer, Emma Carter. Appointments can be made by dropping in to the Advice Centre, Level A, Dunelm House.
Join In!
join our mailing list for up-to-date info. This is by far the best way to know what, where and when.
To see social event listings for the next month click here.
The regular socials are on Mondays from 8 p.m.in Riverside Cafe in Dunelm House. Your friends are welcome too, LGBT or not. If you'd like someone to meet you and bring you along, email the exec or your college rep to arrange it. Queen's Campus students contact your college reps about the arrangements there. Safer Sex supplies and plenty of information (including our wonderful LGBT handbook) are also available at these socials.
To find out all about the LGBT Association check out the entire
website. We also have a special freshers' area on our forum which you can start
posting to right away and meet us all there.
We also have a dedicated Freshers' Section
of the website for specific info you might find relevant.
Enjoy.
About The Site
THE SITE IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING
A GRADUAL UPDATE, SO NOT ALL INFORMATION MAY BE UP-TO-DATE.
SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE
The site is split into sections, all laid out on the left. Once you're in a section the contents of that section will be displayed on the right. The main sections on the left are now split into two groups - the first group offers everything you need to know related to some aspect of the LGBTA itself, while other LGBT-related information is in the second group.
If you ever need to exit the site in a hurry (e.g. if someone's about to look over your shoulder whom you'd rather didn't know you were browsing this site!), the Exit button at the bottom left will hide the site straight away and take you to Google.
